MB Mahesh, analyst at Kotak Institutional Equities told CNBC-TV18, "Amongst the private sector banks, we like ICICI Bank and Axis Bank in the frontline names. We like Federal Bank in the mid-tier space and DCB Bank in the smallcap space."
"In the public sector banks, we continue to maintain our overweight stance on State Bank of India (SBI). That would be the broad pecking order in both the private and the public sector bank space," he said.
