Asian Paints says board will consider dividend, sets record date

Asian Paints Ltd said on Friday, 13 September that the company's board will consider paying dividend for the current financial year, in its meeting next month. Asian Paints board will meet on Wednesday, 23 October 2024, to consider "declaration of interim dividend, if any, for the financial year ending 31 March 2025," the company said in a filing to stock exchanges.

Asian Paints has set Thursday, 31 October as the record date for the payment of dividend, if declared, it said.

The board will also consider and approve the audited standalone results and unaudited consolidated financial results for Q2 FY25 in the meeting, according to the filing.

Asian Paints Dividend History 

Asian Paints share price was trading at Rs 3,354.25 per share on the NSE, down 0.86 percent in today's trade.

The company reported its consolidated Q1 FY25 net profit fell nearly 25 percent on-year to Rs 1,170 crore. The fall was bigger than analyst estimates. India’s largest paints maker’s April-June revenue from operations too fell short of estimates, declining more than 2 percent on-year to Rs 8,970 crore.

A Moneycontrol poll of eight brokerages pegged the net profit to fall 7.6 percent on-year to Rs 1,432 crore, and revenue to remain flat at Rs 9,236 crore for the quarter.
