Madras Cements rose as much as 3 percent intraday on Thursday. More than 8.4 lakh equity shares of the company have changed hands at Rs 239 on the National Stock Exchange.
 
Trading volumes increased 4 times to 12,90,243 equity shares as compared to its five day average of 3,13,343 shares.

At 14:58 hours IST, the stock went up 2.07 percent to Rs 241.80. Market capitalisation of the company currently stands at Rs 5,754.10 crore. Also Read
