Sandeep Bhatia of Kotak Institutional Equities told CNBC-TV18, "At these levels, it is an interesting opportunity to get in Jindal Steel & Power (JSPL). I do not expect any quick turnaround on the name. It suffers from the same set of issues which every other stock in this space is plagued by. Any investment horizon in this stock should be at least over 2-3 years."
He further added, "Only thing one can say is that they are in a better position to come out of the mess that the sector is in. To that extent it is a better name to own which is one reason why we saw huge FII interest here, but if we expect to make any quick money right now that maybe expecting too much."
"The whole infrastructure space is what is plagued by huge issues on uncertainty of allocations, questionability of whether those allocations were made in a fit and proper manner and every other stock we can raise questions with. So anyone who is looking at this space should have a longer investment horizon, but JSPL is definitely better placed in the entire space," Bhatia said.
