Parag Thakkar of HDFC Securities told CNBC-TV18, "I have been bullish on utilities. National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), Power Grid, Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) continues to look good but you cannot expect a very big rally in this kind of names. So hardly 5-10 percent you can get an upmove from hereon but at least they are safe because I expect markets to be very volatile going ahead. US debt ceiling thing is also coming up on Friday."

At 10:38 hrs NTPC was quoting at Rs 146.60, down Rs 2.40, or 1.61 percent.
The share touched its 52-week high Rs 173.70 and 52-week low Rs 122.65 on 08 October, 2012 and 28 August, 2013, respectively.
