SP Tulsian, sptulsian.com shares his view on Balrampur Chini and Triveni.

Tulsian told CNBC-TV18, "Overall news is good for sugar companies because if you see in Europe the white sugar has really moved to about USD 630 and news flows which have been coming in from UP that like Balrampur Chini and all that they have sold the sugar at Rs 31 per kg ex mill and now they have stopped selling on hopes of the further hardening of the commodity prices and because of the increase in the white sugar prices moving to about USD 630 this is seen quite positive for the exporting companies like E.I.D-Parry, Shakti Sugar, Renuka Sugar so I will because the advantage with UP sugars mill will only be on the inventory which they are holding on but the Tamil Nadu based sugar mills which have already started this second crushing season about a week back and maybe for Renuka Sugar which will be starting full fledged crushing in Brazil." He further added, "I am keeping my optimistic view on this three stocks rather than UP based sugar mills though they will be having an advantage but Triveni again is in a high beta space and whenever it goes up we see this kind of big move coming in, so I wont be advising any traders to take a call in the UP based sugar mill whether it is Bajaj Hindusthan, Balrampur Chini, Triveni, Dhampur or maybe the Simbhaoli Sugar." "Caustic soda makers the largest one is Gujarat Alkali followed by Aditya Birla Chemical because Gujarat Alkali has a capacity of 1200-1300 tonne per day while Aditya Birla Chemical makes about 450-500 tonnes. Just now is have seen a flash that even the anti-dumping duty has been put on soda ash also. Among the soda ash makers are Tata Chemical and DCW. So, it seems that the government has legitimately, which is a wise move because we have been seeing good amount of dumping happening more from China in both in caustic soda and soda ash. So, amongst the soda ash you have the beneficiaries which will be Tata Chemical and DCW and amongst the caustic soda it will be Gujarat Alkali and Aditya Birla Chemicals."
