Flipkart co-founder Sachin Bansal opened up about his deep dissatisfaction after exiting the e-commerce giant, calling it “unfinished business.”

Speaking at Startup Mahakumbh, Bansal recalled a conversation with Paytm’s Vijay Shekhar Sharma, who bluntly told him, “You are the most unhappy billionaire I’ve ever seen, for someone who has had a billion-dollar exit.”

Bansal admitted that his exit from Flipkart in 2018, following the company’s $16 billion acquisition by Walmart, was neither anticipated nor desired.

“I think I was extremely unhappy after the exit because it was not something I had planned. It just happened,” he said.
