Food and grocery delivery company Swiggy announced it has partnered with Bounce, a full-stack electric mobility company, to increase the adoption of electric vehicles among its delivery partners as it looks to tie up with more third-party logistics providers and also grow its own fleet.
In the first phase of this partnership, Bounce will deploy electric scooters across the Delhi NCR belt and Bengaluru over the next three months and make its scooters available on the Bounce Daily app as well as Swiggy’s Delivery Partner app. Similar to other arrangements, Bounce will handle the complete deployment, management, and maintenance of these vehicles.
Bounce, Yulu, Zypp are some of the key players which partner with companies like Swiggy, Zomato and Zepto to help gig workers fulfill deliveries.
“This partnership with Bounce is a significant move towards greener and more cost-effective delivery. We aim to scale this partnership across multiple cities in the country in the coming months. We stay committed to our goal of having a 100% electric delivery fleet by 2030 and will explore partnerships with relevant players…,” Saurav Goyal, Senior Vice President-Driver & Delivery Org, Swiggy, said.

Swiggy has 5.4 lakh delivery partners and an extensive footprint in food delivery, where it collaborates with over 2.5 lakh restaurants across over 700 cities. Similarly, Instamart, its quick commerce platform, operates in 124 cities, delivers groceries and other essentials across 20+ categories in 10 minutes.
