Mobile Premier League has acquired CloudFeather Games, a gaming development tools provider, to strengthen its tech capabilities, the skill gaming platform said on December 10 without disclosing the deal amount.
Founded in 2021 by Romi Chandra and Yash Chandra, CloudFeather Games offers real-money gaming and Web3 tools for game developers. It has a range of tech infrastructure solutions such as multi-card game networks, wallet integration systems, advanced liquidity management tools, and monetisation-focused software development kits (SDKs).

The startup raised $1.25 million in seed funding from gaming and interactive media venture fund Lumikai in June 2022.
“Romi and Yash have demonstrated an ability to build scalable, high-impact solutions for the skill-gaming industry. At Lumikai, we have witnessed their journey from ideation to execution and now exit," Kislay Shashwat, Principal at Lumikai, said.
MPL said it would leverage the startup's technology stack to enhance the gaming experience for its more than 120 million users in India, the United States and Nigeria.
"Their technical expertise will further strengthen our product roadmap... Their proven track record in building scalable gaming infrastructure aligns perfectly with our goal of constantly improving platform stability, game performance, and seamless player experiences" MPL COO Namratha Swamy said.
Founded in 2018, MPL allows users to participate in free as well as paid competitions across more than 60 games in multiple categories, including fantasy sports, sports games, puzzle, casual and board games on its Android and iOS apps.
The platform claims to host hundreds of millions of tournaments every month.
MPL's parent firm, M-League, also owns Germany-based card and board game studio GameDuell and the free-to-play game publishing arm Blast+.
It also incubated Mayhem Studios in 2022. The mobile gaming studio, which plans to develop big-budget games, is working on Underworld Gang Wars, a battle royale rooted in India.
The company reported a 22 percent increase in revenue at $130 million in FY24. It broke even with an adjusted EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation) of $0.2 million.
