New Delhi SMEs gain from SME Mentor seminar

New Delhi SME CEOs gained ideas and solutions from the SME Mentor seminar organized at Shangri-La in New Delhi. The event saw owners and CEOs of organizations from Noida, Faridabad and Ghaziabad attend in large numbers.

The session was opened by George D'Souza, vice president - Content solutions, Moneycontrol.com, who talked about the various hurdles that owners of small and medium enterprises have to cross in taking their companies from good to great companies.

This was followed by a presentation by Rajeev Mehta, vice president of Vodafone’s New Delhi region, who shared the range of enterprise solutions that Vodafone has launched for SMEs. Tarun Katyal, Vodafone’s technology specialist talked about Vodafone’s implementation for transporters where each vehicle was monitored by a Voadfone Sim card.

Tarun Malik, executive vice president of Religare’s New Delhi region, talked about Religare Finvest’s flexible process when providing finance to entrepreneurs. He said that Religare funded companies based on their balance sheet. He shared that the main criterion for companies looking for finance was 5 years of existence and a positive cash flow.

Among the questions resolved were those by a agri-business owner, who ran a seasonal business. Another was a leather importer who was constrained by highly fluctuating price of leather.

Dell’s regional territory manager, Kunal Ratlani, presented Dell’s solutions and talked about the leadership Dell had globally. He revealed that Dell’s major clients included Google and Twitter. Ratlani reiterated Dell’s service quality, assurance of replacement within 24 hours from nearest warehouse, and accidental damage policy. He even talked of Dell Financial Solutions which provided finance for purchasing Dell products.
