The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA)'s Konkan Board has extended the application date for its affordable housing lottery by a month. The last date to apply for the MHADA lottery 2023 is now November 15. The MHADA had earlier set October 16 as the last date.
More than 5,300 homes in satellite towns near Mumbai such as Thane, Virar and Vasai are being offered in the lottery in the price range of about Rs 10 lakh to almost Rs 50 lakh.
The results of the lottery will be announced on December 13, according to the revised schedule announced by the MHADA.
Of the over 5,300 homes, more than 1,000 are being sold under the Pradhan Mantri Aawas Yojana (PMAY), a government scheme that provides access to affordable housing for low-income and middle-income residents.
The cheapest apartments, with a carpet area of 258 sq. ft and priced at Rs 9.89 lakh, will be in Vasai. The costliest apartments, with a carpet area of 667 sq. ft and priced at Rs 49.81 lakh, will be in Virar, according to MHADA. Many of the apartments are still being constructed.

Meanwhile, October 20 is the last date to apply for the MHADA Pune lottery in which 5,863 affordable homes are up for sale.
The Pune board announced the lottery for the sale of affordable homes in Pune, Solapur, Sangli and Kolhapur on September 6.
These apartments are priced in the range of Rs 5 lakh to Rs 1.11 crore. The smallest apartment has a carpet area of 204 sq. ft and the biggest 1,087 sq. ft.
