With gift cards costing between Rs 3,000 – Rs 20,000, AasaanWill offers different packages to those who wish to gift the services of will-making to their loved ones on occasions like marriages, anniversaries, birthdays and so on. “By making estate planning accessible and gift-worthy, we aim to make estate planning more accessible and spark conversations about legacy and future security,” said Vishnu Chundi, Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), AasaanWill.
As per a press release issued on November 6, you can purchase the gift card from the AasaanWill’s website. The gift cards are valid for a year. The costlier gift cards come with services like a door-step lawyer’s visit to help you draft a will, door-step notarisation and even registration services.

Gifting will writing is a unique way to push estate planning to those who are either unaware of the need or are simply hesitant.
A will is a document where you write down a list of your assets and to whom you would like to pass it on, after your demise. It is not compulsory to have a computerised will; you could even write it with your hand and on a piece of a paper. If the person writing a will is old, financial planners and estate planning experts recommend getting a doctor’s certificate certifying that the testator (a person who has made or written the will) is of sound mind. A will is an important document that lays down a roadmap of how a testator’s assts are to be divided, in a frictionless way. For instance, among more than one children who might otherwise quarrel and go to courts to lay their hands on the estate of their deceased parent, in the absence of a will.
Financial planners and estate planning experts say that many people are hesitant to write a will because they think their assets would be passed on, while they are still alive.
