As India gears up for the rollout of Next-Generation GST reforms from September 22, Baba Ramdev–led Patanjali Foods Limited has announced a broad reduction in the Maximum Retail Price (MRP) across its entire product portfolio.
The move, covering both food and non-food categories, ensures that consumers feel the direct impact of the simplified GST structure in their wallets. The GST Council had earlier approved replacing the four-rate system with a two-slab structure of 5 percent and 18 percent, while retaining a special 40 percent rate for luxury and sin goods.
