Without clarity on pricing, oil will stay a slippery space

Nipun Sharma, Research Analyst, Mirae Asset Mgmt tells CNBC-TV18 that unless the government reduces loses in the sector and provides a reliable subsidy sharing mechanism, investor interest is going to be hard to come by in the oil and gas space.

Quite a lot has been happening in the Oil and Gas space. ONGC is geared for an FPO, there is concerns regarding the Cairn-Vedanta deal going through, there are issues of pricing and subsidy, all this apart from global short-supply of crude. All these have greatly dampened investor interest in the sector. Nipun Sharma, Research Analyst, Mirae Asset Securities joins CNBC-TV18 to discuss what is the future of the stocks and the sector as a whole.
