It has not been an easy time for anyone. The markets have been unpredictable and moving fast and furiously, disorienting the investors. The bear has been on the prowl for long, disregarding expert views that it might touch the 21K mark again. With high volatility, everyone now wants to know where it is headed and what they should do.

N Sethuram, CIO, Daiwa Mutual Funds, provides some reprieve and says that he does not see the markets going down further from current levels. He believes that valuations across the market spectrum are at a fairly decent level and advises investors to remain invested. Spread your portfolio across the sectors, but be wary and cautious while dealing with infrastructure, he told investors on a show on CNBC-TV18. Below is the verbatim transcript. Watch the accompanying video too. Q: First up, a word on the correction that we have seen until now. Do you fear some more of a downside for the market, given the kind of headwinds that we are dealing with? A: From the general trend in the market, yes, there could be a little more of correction, but in terms of the valuation of the stocks and the general market as a whole, I think we are at levels where the valuations are quite comfortable. I do not see any case for the markets to go down much further from these levels. Q: What is your view on commodity sectors because we have seen a steep decline in some of the underlying commodities like oil and certain metals as well what should be the advice going forward? A: The metal prices have been at an uncomfortably high level for quite some time and the cooling off is a great thing for our markets. But I do not believe that metals would correct much further from these levels. I expect that they would stabilize at certain levels after the correction. There could also be some cases where there could be a bounce back too. Most of these have been because of margin requirements and other things into speculative segments of those markets. Q: So what should the strategy be at these levels then
