Vodafone Idea Ltd (VIL) shares fell 2% on October 13 after Supreme Court deferred the telco's plea against government's additional AGR demand to October 27 on a request from Solicitor General of India Tushar Mehta, appearing for the government.

This was the fourth time a hearing was scheduled on Vodafone Idea's plea.

At 11:45 am on October 13, VIL shares on NSE were trading 2% lower at Rs 8.87 apiece.

VIL had filed the fresh plea against the Department of Telecommunications' (DoT) fresh demand of Rs 5,606 crore relating to the financial year 2016–17.
