The entire emerging market basket has rallied very hard in the last one year. Are there valuations concerns now and where are these markets headed in the short-term?
CNBC-TV18's Nimesh Shah caught up with Timothy Wong, MD & Head-Group Research at DBS Bank. Shah met him on the sidelines of the Emkay Confluence.
In Emerging Asia, three big markets are driving 80 percent of growth, which are China, India and Indonesia, said Wong.
He further said that India came nicely with long-term growth structure, looks interesting with long-term perspective as some global investors are already overweight on India.
Wong said valuations are high as lot of positives already priced in. Hence, some consolidation is likely in short term.
He expects long-term growth reforms and other growth drivers to continue to boost economy.
He said urbanisation and industrialisation led by foreign investment are two important structural growth drivers for India.
