SBI Mutual Fund has acquired nearly 2 percent equity stake in Elgi Equipments and 4 percent shares in ASK Automotive via open market transactions on November 25.
SBI Mutual Fund has bought additional 55.6 lakh shares in Elgi Equipments, the air compressors manufacturer, (equivalent to 1.75 percent of paid-up equity) for Rs 268.64 crore.
The mutual fund house, which already held 4.28 percent stake in the company as of September 2025, picked Elgi Equipments 55.6 lakh shares at a price of Rs 483 per share. Despite this healthy buying, the stock fell 3.1 percent to Rs 480.5 on the NSE and touched lower Bollinger bands.
Auto components maker ASK Automotive shares also closed lower despite buying interest showed by SBI MF, falling 0.01 percent to close at Rs 476.6 after losing 3.7 percent from day's high.
The bulk deals data indicated that ASK Automotive has seen exchange of around 4 percent shares between promoter and SBI MF at a price of Rs 473 per share.
The fund house has acquired 78.61 lakh shares in ASK (equivalent to 3.98 percent of paid-up equity) for Rs 371.86 crore, however, promoter Kuldip Singh Rathee sold 78.85 lakh shares (4 percent stake) for Rs 373 crore.
The brisk action was also seen in Narayana Hrudayalaya, which corrected nearly 1 percent to Rs 1,957.3 followed selling of over half a percent stake by promoter but the stock held well above all key moving averages.
Promoter Shakuntala Shetty sold 11.77 lakh shares (0.57 percent stake) for Rs 230.7 crore. The deal price was Rs 1,960.07 per share.
AWL Agri Business (erstwhile Adani Wilmar), the food and FMCG company, also saw large bulk deal on the buying side, but despite which the stock dropped 2.22 percent to close at Rs 271.45 after a 4 percent recovery from day's low.
AustralianSuper has acquired 94.85 lakh shares (0.72 percent stake) in AWL Agri for Rs 260.8 crore. The transaction has taken place at a price of Rs 274.95 per share.
Dubai-based IHC Capital Holding subsidiary Green Enterprises Investment Holding RSC sold 13.5 lakh rights shares in Adani Enterprises for Rs 72.77 crore. The price at which these rights shares sold was Rs 539.07 per share.
Adani Enterprises has opened its rights issue of 13.85 crore equity shares for shareholders today at a price of Rs 1,800 per share for Rs 24,930.3 crore and will close the same on December 10.
Meanwhile, AAA Technologies was also in focus, rising 0.4 percent to Rs 89.6. Promoter Anjay Ratanlal Agarwal sold 69,679 shares in the company at Rs 89.64 per share for Rs 62.46 lakh, whereas M7 Global Fund PCC - Cell Dewcap Fund bought 1,04,470 shares at Rs 89.43 per share, amounting Rs 93.4 crore.
