The market closes sharply lower on Tuesday following correction in its global counterparts after the US President Donald Trump threatened to impose fresh tariffs on China.

All sectoral indices closed in the red with the Auto, IT, Metal, PSU Bank and Realty indices falling 1-2 percent.
