Expect rupee to open at 65.25-65.30/dollar: Agam Gupta

The dollar will open lower than the close of 65.51 due to the extremely weak US jobs data. We expect a range of 65.10-65.50/dollar for the day, says Agam Gupta of StanChart Bank.

Agam Gupta of StanChart Bank expects USD-INR to open at 65.25-65.30/dollar on Monday. The dollar will open lower than the close of 65.51 due to the extremely weak US jobs data, he says.He expects a range of 65.10-65.50/dollar for the day.Gupta says he thinks local government banks will be buyers of USD at the lower end of the range. According to him, any upticks will be used by exporters as usual.
