Mecklai graph of the day: German unemployment change

The German unemployment change was announced today reflecting the number of unemployed people during the previous month. Germany’s federal statistics office pegged the numbers at 9K as against an expected figure of 7K.

As observed in the graph the actual figures have been getting better in the past few months with fewer unemployed people registered. Job vacancies fell by 4,000, adding to July's 7,000 decline and suggesting that demand may be peaking. German Flash PMI announced a few days back showed employment expectations easing across major sectors in the economy.

Germany has been at the forefront of the Euro crisis acting as the commander in chief and a steady and robust Germany is very vital for the well being of fellow Euro nations. With Retail sales data due tomorrow markets would be desirous of favourable numbers.
