Strong demand from foreign investors for debt limit quotas

India attracted complete demand from foreign investors for debt limit quotas. This comes as the pricing for those are likely to be low, according to traders.

India has already attracted Rs 247.74 billion worth of orders in its auction of debt investment quotas for foreign investors, higher than Rs 236.6 billion on offer, according to two dealers participating in the auction.

The debt limits give foreign investors the right to invest in debt up to the limit bought. The deadline for bids is at 1730 India time or 1200 GMT. (USD 1 = Rs 59.6350).
