India’s service activity rises to a 10-month high of 60.4 in June

India’s service sector activity improved in June, rising to a 10-month high of 60.4 from 58.8 in the previous month, according to the findings of a private sector survey released on July 3.

June marks the first time this year that HSBC India Services Purchasing Managers' Index crossed 60.

The performance of the service sector is line with the manufacturing activity, which rose to a 14-month high of 58.4 in June.

India’s economy has delivered a mixed performance in the past month, with GST growth falling to a four- year low and industrial production also showing signs of dampened activity.
