Tata Global Beverages Q2 profit seen up 44% on one-offs

Tata Global Beverages is expected to report a 44 percent year-on-year growth in profit at Rs 90 crore for July-September quarter due to one-time income, according to average of analysts polled by CNBC-TV18. Earnings will be announced on November 5.

Revenue is seen rising 2.3 percent to Rs 2,070 crore compared to Rs 2,022 crore in year-ago period. Analysts expect revenue to be driven by 5 percent growth in tea business but coffee business is expected to remain subdued.

Advertising expenses may be higher owing to competitive intensity. International business may get impacted by negative translation across geographies.

Operating profit is likely to increase 5.7 percent year-on-year to Rs 197 crore and margin may expand 30 basis points to 9.5 percent in quarter gone by.
