Insecticides India reported growth in its net profit for its second quarter ended 30 September, 2016. Net profit was up 59.4 percent at Rs 28.7 crore versus Rs 18 crore reported for the same period in the earlier fiscal.
Rajesh Aggarwal, Managing Director and CEO, Insecticides is confident of good growth continuing in the second half as well and expects the FY17 topline to be above Rs 1100 crore.
According to him, generally, the July-September quarter is a good quarter for them and this time, too, factors like good monsoons, new collaborations aided growth.
Growth from the brands business was around 74 percent and rest 26 percent from regular business. Exports, too, are growing slowly and steadily, said Aggarwal.
The total income too was up 26.4 percent at Rs 26.4 percent at Rs 467.5 percent versus Rs 370 crore year on year (YoY). EBITDA was up 36.3 percent at Rs 47.7 crore versus Rs 35 crore (YoY). EBITDA margins for the quarter stood at 10.2 percent versus 9.5 percent YoY.
