Basmati rice company KRBL Ltd today reported an over two-fold jump in its consolidated net profit at Rs 110.75 crore for the quarter ended December.
Net profit stood at Rs 40.25 crore in the year-ago period, the company said in a regulatory filing.
Income from operations rose to Rs 818.47 crore in the third quarter of this fiscal from Rs 733.17 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.
The company's operational expenditure fell to Rs 654.35 crore during October-December period of this fiscal from Rs 675.08 crore in the year-ago period.
KRBL sells basmati rice under the India Gate brand and has a strong presence both in India and the markets abroad.
The company has the capacity to process about 1.5 million tonnes of paddy per annum.
