Asahi Songwon Colors reported a strong set of earnings this quarter. The net profit was up 120 percent, but gross margins were under pressure.
In an interview with CNBC-TV18, Gokul Jaykrishna, Joint MD, Asahi Songwon Colors spoke about the company's Q3 performance and his outlook for the company.
Talking about his topline growth he said, “Revenue figures on a quarter on quarter (QoQ) basis look like they are sustainable and we would be actually aiming for a bit higher than this over the next few quarters”
Margins have been under pressure for the last two quarters on account of increasing crude and copper prices. These two are the stock materials for our main raw material and also a strengthening rupee, he added.
So, going forward already we are seeing that all the three - crude oil, copper and rupee - are cooling off already. Based on this cooling off, we are hoping that the results in third quarter of the calendar year 2018 will be improved, he further mentioned.
