Cement major ACC's fourth quarter profit is expected to fall 43 percent year-on-year to Rs 58 crore and revenue may decline 10 percent to Rs 2,615 crore due to weak volumes and realisations.
Operating profit is likely to slip 27 percent to Rs 204 crore and margin may contract 180 basis points to 7.8 percent compared with year-ago period, according to average of estimates of analysts polled by CNBC-TV18.
ACC has pan India presence. Northern and central part of India contributes 40 percent to sales volumes and the rest is by eastern, western & central parts.
Sales volumes during the quarter may decline 9.2 percent year-on-year to 5.45 million tonnes (against 6 MT) and realisations are also likely to see a sharp correction due to demonetisation.The company follows January-December as its financial year.
Key issues to watch out for would be cement pricing recovery, volume growth & demand revival, update on cost-saving measures, update on progress of the east capacity additions and updates on merger synergies with Ambuja Cements.
