Tarun Katial, chief executive officer (CEO) of Reliance Broadcast expects the television business to fetch 20-30% revenue by last quarter of this financial year. In an interview to CNBC-TV18 he said, the quarterly runrate of the television business is expected to scale up to Rs 8-15 crore ahead.
The company's radio business has done well. He said, "We are hoping that this trend would continue. One of the good things in the radio business is, our ratings have been looking up even more stronger than they have been." Q: Can you take us through the revenue traction seen on the English GECs? The costs on those have been denting your bottomline in the current quarter. A: This is the first quarter that we have seen all the three channels play out. We have seen good traction on all three of them. Prime, which is the oldest, is now at very good fill levels. Love is starting to see very good advertisers for that segment. We have positioned it up against some of the premium English magazines.
