National Fertiliser has reported its earnings for the third quarter ended December 2010. The company's net profit rose to Rs 50.9 crore on net sales of Rs 1,470 crore from Rs 36.7 crore on revenues of Rs 1,450 crore it reported in the same quarter last year.
In an interview with CNBC-TV18, VK Sharma, CMD, National Fertilizer gave his perspective on the quarter gone by and the road ahead. Below is a verbatim transcript. Also watch the accompanying video. Q: Could you take us how much urea revenues moved in the current quarter? A: In the current quarter we have made a profit of Rs 50.9 crore against Rs 36.7 crore last year in Q3. So nine months ended December 31, 2010, we have made a profit of Rs 111.78 crore. Q: What about the topline, how have urea revenues looked? A: Our major contribution of revenue is from urea only, out of which only Rs 100 crore comes from our by-products that is industrial products.
