United Breweries posted a more than 40% rise in third-quarter net profit, driven mainly by strong sales growth.
In an interview to CNBC-TV18, Ravi Nedungadi, President and CFO of the company said that strong volume growth aided sales this quarter. The company is optimistic that they will be able to maintain double-digit growth. On an optimistic note, he added that molasses prices are likely to soften. However, he was quick to add that current crude price is not sustainable. Going forward, Nedungadi added that the company is on track to achieve Whyte & Mackay guidance and may launch new spirit products.
