In an interview with CNBC-TV18's Alexander Mathew, Sunil Sood MD & CEO, Vodafone India spoke about Vodafone India's plan for 4G launch.Below is the verbatim transcript of the interview.Q: What are your 4G spectrum plans and more, listen in?A: Kochi is the town where we are starting our India journey. We will be rolling this across other towns in Kerala, Trivandrum, Calicut is next in the map as well as other circles. We will be launching in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata as well as launching in Karnataka which includes Bangalore. If you actually see this covers the five biggest towns of India - Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore and Kochi. We believe that 4G just like 3G the demand would first start from the big towns because it is the more experience customer, that more experienced data customer or the global travelled data customer who has this high demands for data and that would start from the bigger towns and then it would rollout to the tier-II and tier-III towns. Therefore we have ensured that in our map we have the biggest towns in India.Q: You have launched your 4G services at 3G prices. Is this merely an introductory move, are we going to see 4G prices go up subsequently?A: As of now I would not like to discuss the future but as of now we feel that, that is the best and fastest way to get people to experience our super fast 4G services. We are offering them at the same prices as 3G. So, instead of buying 3G take a 4G sim. We are offering 4G sim's to be exchanged freely in the marketplace, in multiple locations and use our 4G and see it for yourselves, you want to watch movies, you want great content, we have it all.
