Vikram: L&T's first patrol vessel for Indian Coast Guard

The Indian Coast Guard Ship's (ICGS) Vikram! That's what the Indian Coast Guard has decided to name the first of its 7 offshore patrol vehicles being built by infra major, Larsen & Toubro (L&T).

The Indian Coast Guard Ship's (ICGS) Vikram! That's what the Indian Coast Guard has decided to name the first of its 7 offshore patrol vehicles being built by infra major, Larsen & Toubro (L&T).

In 2015, the company inked a Rs 1,400-crore deal to build 7 of these ships, Vikram, which was launched today - will be inducted to the coast guard in April 2018.

CNBC-TV18's Jude Sannith caught up with Senior Vice President of L&T Defence, JD Patil, to find out more about the company's order book for the coast guard.
