Bajaj Auto sales for July have come in below expectations. In an interview to CNBC-TV18, S Ravikumar, President, Business Development, Bajaj Auto spoke about the latest happenings in his company and sector.
Sequential improvement in total sales is visible and everything will fall in place by September in terms of market share, he said.
We are cautiously optimistic on two-wheeler exports and talking about August numbers, sales will be better than July numbers, he added.
Domestic motorcycle sales will be more than 2 lakh units in September. The company has already commenced production and launch of Ct100 electric start version. There is a good product action planned for Platina and V. All these products will be placed well before the festive, said Ravikumar.
Bajaj Auto has sold 10,500 units of the KTM in July and Dominar sales in August is likely to be 4,500 units against 3,000 in July between domestic and exports.
Exports should be better in the month of August so things should be going towards good run rate from September onwards, he said.
Retail is in-line with our expectations and by September, everything will be absolutely normal, he further mentioned.
