Need to understand GST at macro level: Baba Kalyani

CNBC-TV18's Rituparna Bhuyan caught up with Baba Kalyani, Managing Director of Bharat Forge and asked him that how important are the goods and services tax (GST) related issues raised by small traders.

We need to understand GST at a macro level, he said.

GST has fulfilled its initial promises to a large extent. In a large country like India, there are multiple issues in terms of how the GST process needs to be managed. I am very confident that at the end of the day, GST will propel India’s economy forward, he added.
