Looking to push Infosys' operation efficiency: Vishal Sikka

Infosys chief executive officer Vishal Sikka aims to improve operation efficiency going ahead. Speaking at the Cebit Global Conference, he says he wishes to not just help clients with problem solving, but with problem finding.

He says Infosys is working with a 2-point agenda – renewal and new. On the renewal side of the agenda are all existing services such as BPO, infrastructure management, verification services, among others. This renewal, Sikka says, will be based on automation, artificial intelligence, embracing new technology and innovation to dramatically improve existing services that are provided to clients. He is, however, keen to offer these renewal services with the new things that Infosys offers to serve customers – next generation, new frontier initiatives.

In a bid to help clients in problem finding, he is investing heavily into design thinking – techniques for helping clients think about new opportunities, becoming proactive in what problems need to be solved.
