Investors like altruistic businesses: Richard Branson

Shareholders like businesses which do good for the world, opines Richard Branson, founder, Virgin Group, who adds that he would like to put his money in such altruistic businesses.

Quoting an example, Branson says Unilever’s Paul Paulman has turned the company into a ‘force for good.’

“His staff are embracing it and are proud of the company that he has been creating. He is getting his suppliers to become forces for good. They are buying right, they are not cutting down on the rainforests and the shareholders seem to be doing ok out of it,” says Branson.
