Etihad may exit Jet Airways: CAPA report

Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation (CAPA) India report suggests That Abu Dhabi based Etihad Airways may part ways with India’s Jet Airways. However, Etihad has denied the report. In an interview to CNBC-TV18, Kapil Kaul of CAPA spoke at length about the same.

Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation (CAPA) India report suggests That Abu Dhabi based Etihad Airways may part ways with India’s Jet Airways. However, Etihad has denied the report. In an interview to CNBC-TV18, Kapil Kaul of CAPA spoke at length about the same.

Kaul said that our understanding is that post the relationship with respect to Delta KLM, the partnership with Etihad, the rules and the game for the partnership with Etihad no longer seems to be relevant because they are competing with each other.

He further said that subsequently the demand challenges in Middle East both in terms of volumes and yields is other play with respect to Jet Airways.
