The committee's notice comes after the Delhi government announced that the Badarpur and Rajghat thermal power stations will be shut down to reduce pollution.

In an interview to CNBC-TV18's Shereen Bhan, Arup Roy Choudhury, former chairman and managing director, says the move to shut the plant down might actually be a boon in disguise for the company as the company had proposed doing the same to the CERC.
