Bail denial to 5 accused in 2G scam surprising: Jethmalani

The trial court has rejected bail to five accused in the 2G case. In an interview with CNBC-TV18’s Udayan Mukherjee, Mahesh Jethmalani, Senior Counsel, Supreme Court says, that is unfortunate and comes as a surprise. According to him, nobody should be incarcerated unnecessarily.

The trial court has rejected bail to five accused in the 2G case. These include Unitech's managing director Sanjay Chandra, Swan Telecom's director Vinod Goenka and three Reliance ADAG executives. This includes managing director Gautam Doshi, senior vice-president Hari Nair and group president Surendra Pipara.
