TTK Prestige is considering to merge an unlisted entity - Triveni Bialetti Industries (TBI) in a bid to expand its kitchenware business. TT Jagannathan, chairman of TTK Prestige, in an interview to CNBC-TV18, gave his views on how this possible merger will help the company going forward.
Below is the edited transcript of the interview. Also watch the accompanying video. Q: So you are talking about a merger? A: Yes, TTK Prestige is talking about a merger of an unlisted entity. Q: Can you give us more details on when do you hope to see this merger and what is that unlisted entity? A: Board meeting is going to consider it on October 10. After that both the companies will apply to the court. The court will take its own time. We hope to be able to complete the procedure before January or February. Q: Why are you considering this?
