After a Supreme Court ban on export of Endosulfan, a pesticide, which forms a big chunk of export revenues of many companies, the approval to the exports has come in as a relief. Dipesh Kantisen Shroff, managing director of Excel Crop, in an interview to CNBC-TV18, shares the ruling now allows export of only 1,090 metric tonne of Endosulfan Technical. "For Excel, the ruling means that we export approximately 750 metric tonne, which amounts to little less than 15 crore," he adds.
However, he says the company is waiting for October 10, as the SC serves directions for the future.
