MTS CEO welcomes Prez reference in 2G

Vsevolod Rozanov, president and CEO, MTS India has welcomed the Presidential reference in the 2G licence issue and added that the government had promised to find an amicable solution

Vsevolod Rozanov, president and CEO, MTS India has welcomed the Presidential reference in the 2G licence issue. Rozanov told CNBC-TV18 that the Indian government has assured the company that it would try and find an amicable solution.


"We definitely received the communication from the Indian government and the communication suggests that government is interested in finding an amicable solution, "said Vsevolod Rozanov.
"The government is also keen on preventing and helping foreign, especially Russian, investment in jeopardy. That was very clearly stated. This communication was received before the Supreme Court's decision."
The MTS president was also very positive about the Presidential reference. "I very much welcome this decision because any answer to the question, whether it is positive or negative, will help operators to tune or adjust their strategies accordingly." Also watch the accompanying video
