ONGC pays Rs 2,961 cr dividend to the govt

State-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corp (ONGC) paid an interim dividend of Rs 2,961 crore to the government for the current fiscal. ONGC Chairman and Managing Sudhir Vasudeva presented a cheque of Rs 2,961 crore to Oil Minister M Veerappa Moily, an official statement said.

State-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corp (ONGC) paid an interim dividend of Rs 2,961 crore to the government for the current fiscal. ONGC Chairman and Managing Sudhir Vasudeva presented a cheque of Rs 2,961 crore to Oil Minister M Veerappa Moily, an official statement said.

"This represents dividend payment at 100 per cent of the equity Capital held by the government in ONGC," it said. Vasudeva also briefed the Minister about various activity of the company. The Minister noted the issues facing the Navratna PSU. He emphasised the need for quick decision making to expedite resolution of the issues.
