Toyota Kirloskar Motor today reported 6 per cent decline in the total sales at 15,201 units in August 2013.
The firm had sold 16,225 units in August 2012, the Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) said in a statement here. The company sold 12,007 units in the domestic market in August2013 as compared to 13,995 units in August 2012. The company exported 3,194 units of the Etios series last month. Commenting on the sales in August this year, TKM's Deputy Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer (Marketing and Commercial) Sandeep Singh, said, "With the rupee depreciation and rising inflation we have increased the prices of Camry Petrol and Fortuner. The prices have been increased by 1 per cent. "Last month we launched the Camry Hybrid, this is in line with offering advanced technology to ourcustomers and encouraging theuse of hybrid in India thereby contributing to a greener tomorrow.
