Infrastructure sector saw many debates being sparked off during the year on complete lack of policy action and therefore a very big freeze in the investment cycle.
R Shankar Raman, chief financial officer, Larsen & Tuobro speaking to CNBC-TV18 said order inflows from transportation infrastructure sector have picked up unlike power equipments and hydrocarbons segments but broader policy framework needs to be fine tuned. However, the company has seen some improvements in order inflows for mining due to resolution of go-no-go issue. The engineering major scaled down its order inflow guidance last quarter. Raman feels that the company will have go though one-two more quarters before order inflows pick up again. "We are really looking at a period of a year for us to bounce back into the kind of momentum that we left behind about 18 months ago," he added.
