Suzlon arm REpower to supply 35mw worth wind turbines in UK

Suzlon Energy's arm REpower Systems has signed deals to supply 35 mega watt worth wind turbines to two wind farms in the UK.

Suzlon Energy's arm REpower Systems has signed deals to supply 35 mega watt worth wind turbines to two wind farms in the UK. Suzlon will supply 12 turbines to the 24.6mw capacity Hall Farm in North Humberside and 5 turbines to the 10.25mw capacity Earls Hall Farm in Essex, Suzlon said on Monday. The company said the two wind firms will be able to meet energy demands of nearly 20,000 homes. Construction of the Earls Hall Wind farm will start in the summer of 2012 and is scheduled to be completed in the second half of the year. Construction at Hall Farm will start in spring next year, with a similar completion date, Suzlon said. Suzlon shares closed down 3% at Rs 21.70 on NSE on Monday.
