Confident govt will lift ban on non-basmati rice soon: KRBL

The commerce ministry has urged policymakers to lift export ban on all varieties of non-basmati rice, to ensure parity in the treatment of rice producers across the country. Exports of rice are subject to a minimum export price of $850 PMT, which means rice of lower value cannot be sold overseas.
