The government has notified sections five and six of Competition Act giving a major fillip to Competition Commission of India. The sections five and six of competition act deal with merger and acquisition (M&A) norms. Speaking exclusively with CNBC-TV18's Nayantara Rai, CCI chairman Dhanendra Kumar said the notification will provide legal certainty.
