The celebration of Dhirubhai's 80th birth anniversary continues at the Ambani hometown of Chorwad in Gujarat with great fanfare. The second day of the Ambani brothers' reunion began with prayers and the inauguration of a memorial of their father Dhirubhai.
The memorial has three sections - a pictorial gallery, the old residence of Dhirubhai and an auditorium. The memorial was inaugurated at the hands of the Ambanis' family guru Ramesh Oza, where Kokilaben, her two sons Mukesh and Anil along with their wives and two daughters - Dipti Salgaonkar and Neena Kothari, were present among others.
Sources say that a grand feast has been organised for the villagers on this occassion. The event is marked with significance as it is the place where Dhirubhai began his illustrious career as an entrepreneur. There has been buzz about some possible business announcements but nothing has been confirmed as yet.
Group president of Reliance, Parimal Nathwani said it was indeed a very emotional moment for the family as the two brothers came together after a hiatus of 15 years.
